Attorney General Discloses Investigation into President's Adversaries and Epstein Links

This past Friday, the Attorney General designated interim US attorney Jay Clayton to lead an investigation into political adversaries of Donald Trump and their connections with Jeffrey Epstein. This decision came hours after the president instructed her to begin the probe.

In a statement, Bondi praised Jay Clayton as “a highly skilled and reliable legal expert”. She stated, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”

This development seems to diverge from a July memo from federal authorities which declared that documents related to Epstein did not warrant additional investigations. As per the document, authorities “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

That same day, the President declared he would direct the Department of Justice to investigate Epstein’s ties with Democrats, specifically naming Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman. Paradoxically, he also described the “Epstein situation” as a “scam”.
